What’s mine
The writing, photos, videos, audio, the Insights posts, the documents, the hat logo and the Chad Kempel name belong to Chad Kempel LLC or are used with permission. The Chad Kempel name and the logo are trademarks of Chad Kempel LLC. Photos by other photographers are credited and belong to them. News articles, clips and record listings belong to the outlets that published them; I link to them, I don’t own them.
What you can do
- Read it, share links to it, and print pages for yourself or your school.
- Download the files on the Documents page and copy them for your own school’s use. That’s what they’re for.
- Use the press kit for coverage of me, under the terms on that page.
- Quote a sentence or two with credit and a link.
What you can’t do
Sell or rent my content. Strip the credits. Use the photos, videos or logo to promote anything else. Post the documents as your own, or edit them and keep my name on them. Scrape the site, or feed it to an AI model for training. If you’re not sure, ask. The answer is usually yes.
Not therapy, not advice
I have a master’s degree in psychology and taught it for years, but I’m not a licensed therapist, and this site isn’t treatment. The talks, the Insights posts, the student pages and the One Decision tool are education and storytelling. They’re not a substitute for a counselor, a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant. If you or a student is in danger right now, call 911. Call or text 988 any time, day or night.
The One Decision tool
Its replies are written by an AI model from what you type. They can be wrong, generic, or miss the point entirely. Treat them as a nudge, not a plan. Don’t type private details about yourself or anyone else. What happens to your words is in the privacy policy.
Booking
Nothing on this site is an offer to appear. Dates, fees and availability change. A booking exists when we’ve both signed the booking agreement or confirmed it in writing, and if that agreement and this page ever disagree, the agreement wins.
Links, books and the dollar guide
Links to other sites are there because they’re useful. I don’t control them and I’m not responsible for what’s on them. Some Amazon links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Amazon pays me a small commission and you pay nothing extra. The ten-principle guide is sold through Gumroad, which handles the purchase under its own terms.
Testimonials, records and mistakes
Testimonials are real and used with permission. Results vary by school and by kid, and I don’t promise outcomes. The records, credentials and media features on this site are documented and public. Everything else is offered as it is and may have the occasional error. If you find one, tell me and I’ll fix it.
Liability
To the extent Idaho law allows, Chad Kempel LLC isn’t liable for losses that come from using this site or relying on what’s on it. Nothing here limits any liability that the law says can’t be limited.
Idaho
Idaho law governs these terms. If we ever disagree, we talk first. If that doesn’t settle it, the courts in Ada County, Idaho, handle it.
